Hikes from Vitznau

Get up, lace your boots, and let the fun begin. Vacationers in Vitznau don’t have to travel far to be active. Trails start directly in the village and offer challenges for every level.

For the mountain trail to the Vitznauerstock, be sure to stock up on food and water in the village shop - the path at 1,450 meters above sea level is demanding.

The Panoramaweg, on the other hand, is more leisurely and can be discovered in three stages. The “A” part of the Panorama Trail is also suitable for strollers, making it perfect for family outings. The Foxtrail offers a special experience for young and old.

Culinary Breaks

Before, after, or during a hike, the mountain inns and huts offer their idyllic sun terraces for a rest. The hosts serve typical Swiss dishes with ingredients partially from their own farms.

Insider Tip: at the Berggasthof Hinterbergen, parents can sunbathe on the terrace while the children let off steam on the playground. And the Alp Chäserenholz near Rigi Kulm serves delicious Swiss cheese specialties.

Comfortably seated together after the hike in the restaurants with a view of the lake and Vitznau, diligent hikers review their successful day.
