Stoosbahn

This funicular runs from Schlattli to Stoos over a steep rock face. With a gradient over 110%, the Stoosbahn is the steepest funicular of its kind and the ride is thrilling for all. Insider tip: on the way down, take the front car -- you'll feel like you're on a rollercoaster!

A ride on the Stoosbahn can easily be combined with a day trip to the mountain. In summer, there are various offers such as the panoramic ridge hike, a tour of the alp, or climbing to the Fronalpstock.

In winter, the family ski area is a great destination with lots of sun, slopes of every level of difficulty, winter hiking trails, and fast-paced toboggan runs.

The funicular station Schattli can be easily reached by bus from Vitznau.
