Diving & Snorkeling

It's not only above the surface that the lake landscape of Vitznau is singular: the underwater world is every bit as diverse and varied. Dive below the surface and you will discover rugged rock faces with underwater canyons, explore fascinating rock formations with caves, observe schools of fish, and view rich underwater flora.

The diving sites are considered to be rather demanding, but even beginners can experience a wide variety under expert guidance. There are two entry points in Vitznau, at Brougier Park and the old beach (lido).
Diving courses are held regularly, equipment can be rented nearby, and guided diving tours are offered from the shore as well as by boat.

If you enjoy exploring exciting places close to the surface of the water, you will find impressive landscapes and their underwater inhabitants while snorkeling on the steep underwater cliffs near the lido. No need to go all the way to the ocean!
